Ethos

The first thing you should know about Pure Illustration is that for us, it’s all about the great artists we represent and not about us as an agency.  Our focus is always on getting the best and fairest deals for our artists and in developing successful relationships with our clients that are beneficial for all parties on a long-term basis.  This has led to a slow and steady development of our agency and has helped us to build reliable working relationships with both our artists and clients.

History

With 12 years of card & giftware licensing experience under his belt, Richard Patey started Pure Illustration 5 years ago.  During this short time Pure has grown to be an extremely successful art licensing company with a good working reputation and a solid base of well-known clients & brands.   Pure is an international player, with clients in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Europe as well as the UK.

To meet the needs of both our artists and clients, Pure expanded in 2009 from its base of card & gift clients, to enter some exciting new markets.  Our business has now developed into six different departments:

Fine Art Prints & Posters
Publishing
Character Licensing
Surface Pattern & Packaging
Editorial & Advertising

To access some of these departments we do ask that you register with us - but we've made the process quick and simple.

Working with us   

• As an artist

We strive to keep our artist best interests at the core of all our business.  Without our artists, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.  We like to include talented artists with a range of different styles, from traditional to contemporary, from hand rendered to graphic and everywhere in between.  We welcome new graduate artists, as well as long standing professionals.  We are always available to our artists for advice and guidance while they work on existing commissions and speculative work. All we ask in return is that our artists are dedicated to providing our clients with the best work they can produce and that this work is produced to any requested deadline.  While we do represent a small selection of photographers, generally we like to leave this up to the photographic agencies.

• As a client

We always work hard to give our clients what they’re looking and to help them fulfil their artwork needs.  Whether you are a client with a specific remit, or are looking more generally, we are always on hand to focus on your requirements, suggest artists and to provide low res images for your review.  Most of our artists are available to produce new images and we ensure that all work meets any requested deadlines.  Please get in touch if you would like to discuss any upcoming projects, or if you would like to start a working relationship with Pure: info@puredesigngroup.co.uk
